Consultation Terms

Thank you for your interest in Yerikyan & Co. These Consultation Terms govern all consultations, introductory meetings, and educational sessions scheduled through our website. By scheduling a meeting with Yerikyan & Co., you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to these Consultation Terms.


Purpose of the Meeting
Yerikyan & Co. offers both complimentary introductory consultations and paid educational sessions.

A complimentary consultation is intended to discuss your circumstances, introduce our services, and determine whether our firm is an appropriate fit for your needs.

Paid educational sessions are intended solely for general educational and informational discussion regarding sales tax or related topics. They are not professional tax consultations, legal advice, accounting services, or an engagement to provide tax opinions, prepare tax returns, represent you before taxing authorities, or perform other professional services.

If professional services are desired, a separate written engagement with Yerikyan & Co. may be required.


No CPA-Client Relationship
Scheduling or participating in a meeting does not create a CPA-client relationship or any other professional engagement with Yerikyan & Co. A CPA-client relationship is established only after both parties execute a written engagement letter and any required engagement procedures have been completed.


No Professional Advice or Reliance
Any information discussed during a complimentary consultation or educational session is preliminary, general, and based solely on the information presented during the meeting.

Discussions should not be relied upon as tax, accounting, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Because we have not performed professional procedures or reviewed all relevant facts and documentation, additional information may materially change any observations discussed.


Scope of the Meeting
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, meetings are limited to the scheduled topic and allotted time. The meeting does not include tax return preparation, tax research, document review, written advice, legal opinions, audit representation, bookkeeping services, or other professional services outside the stated purpose of the meeting.


Payment
Fees for paid educational sessions are due at the time of booking unless otherwise specified.
Except as required by law or otherwise stated in these Terms, fees are non-refundable once the scheduled meeting has taken place.


Cancellations and Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule your meeting, we request that you do so at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment whenever reasonably possible. Yerikyan & Co. reserves the right to decline future meeting requests from individuals who repeatedly fail to attend scheduled appointments or repeatedly cancel without reasonable notice.


Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your meeting may still end at the originally scheduled time out of respect for other scheduled appointments. If you are significantly late, the meeting may be considered a no-show and may need to be rescheduled.


Confidentiality
Information shared during a meeting will be treated professionally and with appropriate confidentiality. However, because no engagement may exist, you should not submit highly sensitive personal information unless specifically requested through a secure method approved by Yerikyan & Co.

Please do not transmit Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, payment card information, passwords, or other highly sensitive information through scheduling forms or unsecured communications.


No Deadline Responsibility
Unless and until Yerikyan & Co. accepts your engagement in writing, the firm assumes no responsibility for monitoring or meeting tax filing deadlines, payment deadlines, elections, audit response deadlines, statutes of limitation, or other legal or administrative deadlines.

You remain solely responsible for ensuring all applicable deadlines are met.


Recording
Audio or video recording of meetings is prohibited unless all participants have provided their prior knowledge and consent, as permitted by applicable law.


Right to Decline or Terminate
Yerikyan & Co. reserves the right to decline, reschedule, shorten, or terminate any meeting if circumstances warrant, including matters involving conflicts of interest, abusive or inappropriate conduct, matters outside the firm's areas of practice, or other professional considerations.


Changes to These Terms
Yerikyan & Co. may update these Consultation Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time a meeting is scheduled will apply to that meeting unless otherwise required by law.


Acceptance
By scheduling a consultation, introductory meeting, or educational session with Yerikyan & Co., you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to these Consultation Terms. You further acknowledge that no CPA-client relationship is created by scheduling or participating in a meeting and that any professional services require a separate written engagement letter executed by both you and Yerikyan & Co.
